Ewan McGregor Clarifies Situation With Obi-Wan Series Delay

I certainly hope that this is all true. If you're not aware there was a report that the series had been canceled altogether and that McGregor had stepped away from it.

About a week later another report came out that they were redoing the scripts, and that's the report he is responding to in the SuperHeroHype post in the Tweet.

All of this chatter concerns me because I am really excited about the prospect of this series which is supposed to take place about 8 years or so after Revenge Of The Sith, and that would be 12 year before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

I really enjoyed his portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Prequel Trilogy, and thought that seeing more of that would be a lot of fun. My only concern about it is whether showing Obi-Wan off on an adventure in this series would harm the bittersweet (poignant maybe?) ending of ROTS.

The idea being in that scene you sense the heavy burden he has a relatively young man being sent in to exile to watch over a boy that only knows him as a crazy old hermit.

Anyhow, aside from that concern I really hope this series does end up getting done. The good outweighs the possible bad in my mind.
