We are one step closer to full-on #KOFIMANIA, and I am pretty excited about it. If you did not see SmackDown last night, they closed it with Kofi and Vince McMahon bantering one another. It was a promo that Kofi absolutely needed to nail and fortunately he did.

Check this out...

That was a perfect example of taking at least a touch of real life frustration/experience and turning it into magic on the mic. For an angle that came about because of an injury to Mustafa Ali they have really handled it well.

Not to get negative, but some will tell you because of that WWE doesn't deserve any credit for the success of this angle. I disagree. Adding Kofi may have been a situation where they just needed another body for the Elimination Chamber with Ali's injury, but once they saw what they had on their hands they have handled the whole thing masterfully.

Even Vince's punishment for Kofi refusing to take NO for an answer is perfect as it is a callback to the pre-EC Gauntlet Match which really ignited #KOFIMANIA.

This whole deal has been a ton of fun, and I certainly hope it's paid off with a WWE Title victory for Kofi at WrestleMania 35. I think anything else at this point would be a mistake, and I'm also fired up about Kofi v Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Cesaro, Sheamus, and Rowan in a Gauntlet Match on next week's SmackDown. Folks on Twitter were buzzing about Orton's inclusion in that match as he is the most fitting obstacle that Kofi can overcome due to their history. That is also a great point.
