Friday The 13th Legal Battle

If you don't know there's a huge legal battle that's been ongoing between Horror Inc and Victor Miller (a writer on the first movie).

It's kind of technical, and I'll explain it poorly so I'll attach a link below for the sake of clarity, but the main thing to know is that it caused issues for Friday The 13th: The Game, and has stopped any movies from being made.

We have pretty well reached the end from my understanding though, and argument were being heard today that should give us a final determination of how the rights are going to work for that franchise.

Even better the actor who played Shelly in Friday The 13th Part III (Larry Zerner) is an entertainment lawyer who has been kind of guiding us fans through this process.

I say all of that to say, he posted the following today (the 13th of all things).

Anyhow, I don't really care how it all works out in that I'm not rooting for a side here, but I hope we get a new Friday The 13th movie soon after this is resolved. A new game would be nice too.

BloodyDisgusting has a nice recap of the issue at hand. Here's a more in depth look from Zerner from January 2020.

UPDATE 2/14/2020: Zerner posted his thread on the oral argument.
