Drew McIntyre On MVP's VIP Lounge On Raw

This wasn't a segment that I felt was terribly surprising, but I think it was VERY well done.

As we hurtle towards WrestleMania 36, and Drew McIntyre attempting to take Brock Lesnar's WWE Title from him there has been some concern about Drew's ability to keep his momentum.

This segment on this week's Raw was a good sign that he very well may be able to. The crowd is still responding to Drew in a very positive way, the Glasgow Kiss, and Claymore Kick looked sharp, and MVP going over the couch was a great visual too.

It would be unfair to talk about this segment without mentioning how good MVP was here. A very believable promo that made a lot of sense from his character's standpoint, and it did a great job setting the stage for the physicality to come.

So not only has Drew maintained his momentum, I hope we are getting more VIP Lounge segments with MVP.

This whole thing was a success tonight on a show that was full of good stuff.

Now there is something to be said about all this and how it relates to Roman Reigns big singles push leading into WrestleMania 31, but for now I want to keep it about Drew, MVP, and the positives from tonight. That other discussion will come later...

UPDATE: Per PWMania it appears MVP may be set for a Producer role in the company. If that's true, good for him.

UPDATE2: Didn't think to link this piece about Drew McIntyre's Royal Rumble victory here.
