The Cedric Alexander Reveal On Raw

If you watched Raw yesterday, you already know what I'm talking about. I get what they were going for, but this was an absolute mess. If you didn't see it, here's the YouTube version from WWE's channel.

Without Roman and Cedric Alexander getting the win OR at least forcing Drew McIntyre/Shane McMahon bail on the match, the big reveal came off really poorly.

I was told on Twitter by someone that was at the show that a lot of people in the arena still didn't know who was under the mask after the reveal.

The idea that Cedric gets the rub by just being in that spot may work in theory, but in practice he looked like a major geek. The idea that he had to lose because Drew and Shane weren't going to prior to Extreme Rules is true too, but in that case I would have just had Roman lose the handicap match without the swerve. At the very least just force him to partner with someone like Elias who is obviously an ally of Shane.

Basically, if that match "had to end that way" because of the PPV on Sunday then you probably needed to do something completely different. The big feel good moment of "Gary's" rally, and reveal meant less than nothing because he got his head kicked off and lost fair and square.

All this said, I hope this is a sign though that he's going to be given a bigger opportunity to shine on Raw.

Ultimately, this deal last night went over like a fart in church.
