The Rock Speaks on Facing Lesnar at WM32, Roman Reigns, and More

Via James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor, The Rock sat down with Chris Van Vliet and had something to say about a variety of subjects such as possibly taking on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, the unique situation Roman Reigns currently finds himself in, how you go about getting Jason Statham to take a Rock Bottom in Furious 7, and even CM Punk's transition to the UFC.  Fast forward to 3:20 in the interview if you are only interested in the CM Punk/UFC take and watch through until the end for a nice little treat for fans of The Rock.

My primary reason for posting this though is to look at how candidly The Rock would answer a question about Roman Reigns. If you didn't take the 4 minutes and 11 seconds it takes to watch full video then here's the relevant portion of that answer courtesy the PWTorch.
“Ready to headline WrestleMania and ready to be the Champ are two different things. I think that he’s in a unique position. He’s being pushed quickly, I was in that position before so I know what it’s like, but at the same time you either sink or swim so you’ve got no choice but to be ready," Rock said.

"Fans have expressed their displeasure in it and that is the best part about the WWE Universe is that they’re so vocal and passionate about how they feel. I think he’s going to go out with Brock, who I’ve known for a very long time, and they’re going to have a hell of a match and that’s what I expect."
The Rock certainly understands the burden that Roman Reigns is carrying.  I find it interesting that he flat out says that Brock and Reigns will have a good match.  Don't know if that's just a way to help his "cousin" out or what, but I respect that.  I am not sure whether Brock/Reigns will be a good match although I think it could be if laid out properly.  I do think it's the most fascinating match on the card and one of the most fascinating matches WWE has had on its hands in a while.

As for the Lesnar aspect I certainly would be interesting in seeing The Rock back in the ring at some point.  JerryWorld would be a heck of a backdrop for that particular match to take place.  I have no idea if The Rock will ever return, but I think it's smart of him to keep that door open in the minds of the fans although I know there's a segment of wrestling fans who apparently have no interest in him returning.  Needless to say I don't typically see eye-to-eye with that segment of the fanbase often, but I'm not going back down that road.

Anyhow, it's always good to hear from The Rock as I think he always comes across as a good dude.  Hopefully we will see him at The Showcase of the Immortals as well.  If not, we know we'll get an entertaining performance out of him on Saturday Night Live the night before.
