Fantasy Booking: Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31

Oddly enough I am going to start a post titled "Fantasy Booking" with a disclaimer that I am no fantasy booker.  That said I am all-in on this Roman Reigns/Brock Lesnar title match at WrestleMania and I think I have decided how I would handle it so here we go.

It's no secret that Roman Reigns is having trouble connecting with the audience for a variety of reasons.  It's also obvious that the WWE Universe does not treat Brock Lesnar like an actual heel.  Brock is a big tough son of a gun and people love him for it.  This, among other things, is problematic for WWE as Roman Reigns was supposed to be the white knight that was going to dethrone WWE's World Heavyweight Champion, BROCK LESNAR.

All that said, I think the solution is obvious and a double turn of sorts needs to happen at WrestleMania.  I'm not the first to suggest this by any stretch so I'm not taking credit for this idea or anything like that.  After a lot of thinking about this I think it's the way to go.  Paul Heyman needs to align himself with Roman Reigns, cost Brock the title and BOOM you've solved both of the previous issues I mentioned.  Roman gets a mouthpiece, Lesnar gets to be the force of nature that he is if he's sticking around.  It gets the main title back on WWE TV and Lesnar's absence would be far more palatable without him holding the belt.

The other idea floating out there is that Seth Rollins should cash-in his Money In The Bank contract.  That idea could certainly salvage WrestleMania, but I think a double-turn accomplishes more especially as it relates to your reported future face of the company Roman Reigns.

So, that's it.  That's my plan if I'm WWE.  For a lot of the wrong reasons this Lesnar/Reigns match is one of the most fascinating moments in recent WWE history.  I cannot wait to see how the crowd reacts and how this thing goes down.  It will certainly be interesting.

  1. I could see that happening, what should of happened is after the Rumble Bryan should have offered to train Reigns and get him ready for WM. Cornette actually laid this out perfectly on the Jim Ross podcast

  2. I didn't mind that solution even though I often disagree with Cornette. I liked that idea.
