This surprises me, but apparently Entertainment Tonight (ET) covered Bruiser Brody's death back in August of 1988. It's really interesting to see how a mainstream entity like ET covered the unusual death of a wrestler like Bruiser Brody.
Also of note this was during the time that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper had left the business to focus on his movie career so it makes sense that he would be the guy that they talked to in this clip. It also makes sense that he'd want to talk to them.
