On our way up to the Anarchy Wrestling show in Cornelia, GA we had time to stop at a Toys R Us. I had $25.00 gift card from Christmas so I was hopeful I would find something that I wanted. Fortunately for me I did. I saw three of these bad boys sitting on the shelf and this figure was right at the top of my must-buy list.
As the post title suggests, it was the Defining Moments Hulk Hogan figure. It comes complete with a tearaway shirt, bandana sculpted onto his head, and a 80's-style WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt. It's a pretty cool figure and will go nicely with my Defining Moments "Nature Boy" Ric Flair figure.
I took a picture of the one I actually picked up, but I got my stupid thumb in it so check out the Ringside Collectibles page for in and out of box pictures of this really nice figure. You can order it directly from them for $26.99, but of course will have to pay S&H. I found it at retail for $24.99 so if you're patient you should be able to save yourself the price of S&H at least.
This figure is a huge hit with my kid. My son is 7 years old and is a HUGE Hulk Hogan fan. He got up from the table during breakfast to check out the figure a couple of times. He wants one he can unbox so we may buy another for his birthday. I tried to talk him into the WWE Series 48 80's Hogan and then the modern-day Hulk Hogan from WWE Signature Series 2014, but he isn't having it. He said, "That one doesn't look right and I really want one with a belt like that." I can respect that. The boy knows what he wants and it is a really cool figure.
Anyhow, it was a good Saturday and finding that figure was a nice little part of it. Now if Mattel would just make that awesome looking Magnum TA figure available at some point I would be a really happy wrestling figure collector.
