New Anarchy Ownership

Last night was Anarchy Wrestling's (formerly known as NWA Anarchy) annual Christmas even Season's Beatings.

In the weeks leading up to the event, it was widely known that this would be owner Franklin Dove's final shows as owner/promoter of Anarchy, as he is moving to Florida for his job and would be unable to run Anarchy as it should be run. Speculation ran that this would be end of Anarchy and thus the end of wrestling at the church in Cornelia, Georgia. I, however, did not believe that it would be the end. I personally knew that somehow, someway, wrestling would continue at that location, whether it be from the local rival promotion OSWA or a new owner taking up the reigns.

Enter: Charles Anschutz. Promoter of SFCW (Southern Fried Championship Wrestling). A relatively successful promotion run mainly East of Atlanta. I honestly have to plead ignorance about my knowledge of his promotion, but from what I've read of the promotion, Mr. Anschutz will work hard to get the word out on Anarchy in the area as he's done for SFCW.

The question I have, while promoting in the local area will not be a problem, will there be promoting of it outside of the area aka increasing their presence on the world wide web.

It's a topic for another day, but I'll say this. There's a lot of talent in Georgia that deserve to be seen, however, many do not, and they do get missed out on when the best of wrestling lists are created, or when new stars get noticed, Georgia gets missed out many times, despite many of the talent being ready for a much later stage.

But, at the end of the day I do wish Mr. Anschutz good luck. I do hope he does well, especially because when wrestling in that area does well, so does the rest of the state.
