Alberto El Patron is Coming to Ring of Honor

Not exactly breaking news, but this is the type of thing that will get me to take a look at Ring of Honor.  We just got their show here in ATL recently and I've watched a little bit of it and it's fine.  Adding a proven talent like El Patron is a step in the right direction though for getting a guy like me to take a harder look at the product.

This came up when there were rumblings that Dixie Carter wanted to bring El Patron in and push him as a TNA World Champion out of the gate.  The usual gang of knuckleheads seized on that and started with how second-rate that made TNA look, etc., but I was all for it because El Patron has proven that he can work in that capacity.  It's not like snapping Curtis Axel up and immediately pushing him simply because he was in WWE.  For instance, look at this description of Alberto El Patrron (AEP?) from the article linked below and tell me that a guy like this wouldn't deserve a look at at the top of TNA.

...former 4 time World Champion in World Wrestling Entertainment and the current AAA Heavyweight Champion in Mexico.

Per this article on WrestlingFigs.com*, his first appearance with ROH will be a Ring of Honor Television Taping from the Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, TN on January 3, 2015.

I think this is an excellent addition to the ROH roster and he would've been a huge "get" for TNA.

*Note: The WrestlingFigs.com article incorrectly lists the dates as 2014 as opposed to the correct 2015.
