What I Like About WWE Right Now...

Not a comprehensive list of things I enjoy right now. As a matter of fact another post is already in the works. I see a lot of negativity in the IWC. We seem to enjoy killing every single thing WWE does for whatever reason. This post is meant to be the flip-side of that. Instead of griping about the things I dislike, I have chosen to discuss what I do like. Here goes...
  • Dean Ambrose--As great as The Shield was the gimmick was holding Dean Ambrose back.  His character didn't work nearly as well in the confines of The Shield as it does with him out on his own.  WWE deserves a ton of credit too because they seem to know what buttons to press with Dean.  During his absence instead of getting some tired, "Let's check on Dean Ambrose's medical status" we got a, "He refused treatment and his whereabouts are currently unknown."  That's exactly what Dean Ambrose would do.  He's a shady character that you like whether you should or not.  He's got a certain mystique to him and I hope WWE can keep it going strong.
  • The Miz and his stunt double, Damien Sandow--If you dislike comedy then this won't appeal to you at all, but I think these two are great.  I accept the fact that The Miz is never going to be the top guy we hoped he'd be when he became WWE Champion and headlined WrestleMania 27, but he's a valuable asset.  Sandow is much the same way in that I had higher hopes for him, but his current role is a lot of fun.  These two keeping things interesting in the Intercontinental Champion tier of the roster is a good thing.
  • The Authority--Heel authority figures are beyond tired.  The thing with them is that the heeling isn't quite as over-the-top.  Beyond that they hit the right notes with their performance.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, but Stephanie is tons better than her Dad ever was.
  • Paul Heyman and his client, Brock Lesnar--I've often said that Heyman, to some degree, is overrated.  His pairing with Brock Lesnar is absolutely not though.  That's a deal where they are individually compelling, but together it goes to a whole 'nother level.
Like I said, not a comprehensive list of things I enjoy about the current product. It's a start though and more is on the way shortly.
