Kofi Kingston out with elbow injury

DOT NET covered the following story from WWE.com. It appears Kofi Kingston will be out four to eight weeks with an elbow injury.  The timing of this is a real shame as it felt like he was getting treated fairly well on RAW the last few weeks.  He is a guy that I think the fans will really get into if given a legitimate reason.  Has his act cooled over the last few years?  Absolutely.  Is that all on Kofi Kingston? Absolutely not.  He got mired in the Midcard Treadmill that can be next to impossible to escape.

If you are the type to look for silver linings in things consider Chris Shore's point below.
Part of me is saddened by this because Kofi is missing out on what looks like a sudden surge in young talent. The other part of me though, sees this as an opportunity for Kofi to take some time off TV and come back with a new character that showcases his talent. I hate it was an injury that is causing this hiatus, but it could ultimately turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
He hits the nail on the head. Hopefully Kofi comes back re-energized, rejuvenated and ready to go. I had not thought of the other aspect he references which is what feels like a youth movement in WWE. This is an excellent point and while I believe the midcard and main event scene both need some work, it is true that there are reasons to believe both will be getting better.

As a guy who really likes Kofi Kingston, I wish him a speedy recovery.
