DDP speaks about Heath Slater

As previously mentioned on SAW, I thought DDP's interview was interesting enough that it should be broken up into a few posts.  Here's the second part which discusses Heath Slater's role on RAW.
"He took an awesome Diamond Cutter. He’s a guy who grew up watching me and loving the business. He told me he loves what he’s doing right now, and it’s a great attention getter for him. People went from really hating him, to now you find people writing some really good comments about him too, and he’ll grow with his character. He’s got awesome time on primetime TV."
Someone on one of the boards I frequent was dissatisfied with the way Heath Slater was being used.  I see it the way DDP and apparently Slater himself sees it, he has gotten an opportunity to spotlight himself each week on RAW.  Prior to these nostalgia returns you would barely know what Heath Slater was even still with WWE.

Will it turn in to a bigger role for the "One Man Rock Band?"  I don't know, but I don't see a reason to be upset by his treatment.  They have been fun segments and Heath has gotten a chance to shine in them.  If nothing else, this demonstrates that Heath Slater has a good perspective on his role in WWE right now.  That is always a good thing.
