Cena vs Lesnar at WWE Extreme Rules

Last night's WWE Extreme Rules is getting strong reviews from the places I frequent on the internet.  Unfortunately, I could not order the show.  That being said, I am baffled by one booking decision.

Why have John Cena go over Brock Lesnar?

As a guy who is all for some unpredictability in booking when it comes to top talent, I must say the predictable thing would have made more sense to me here.  With Cena having lost his mojo and Brock positioned as an absolute monster, I thought for sure we were going to get a year long Death of Superman-style story.  Lesnar was going to play Doomsday who arrives and tears through everything in his path until someone is finally able to put a stop to the monster (most likely at great cost to themselves).

That's not what we got last night.  Apparently (remember I didn't get to see the match), Brock dominated an excellent brawl but was ultimately beaten with an Attitude Adjustment.  The bigger story seems to be that Cena suffered an "injury" and kept referencing "going away" after the match.

The only thing I can figure is that tonight we will get a pissed off Brock Lesnar absolutely annihilating an already injured Cena and/or Brock playing up the fact that Cena won the battle, but lost the war last night at Extreme Rules.

As baffled as I am by having Cena get the win over Brock, I will say that I am pleased to have the unpredictability.  I have no idea what is going to happen on RAW tonight and ultimately that is a good thing.
