FFA: Texas A&M Joins the SEC

Texas A&M officially joined the SEC today.  I have been excited about this move since last season when it appeared to be imminent.  People probably wonder why a BAMA man who also roots for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets cares so much about this move.  Well here's why.
  • I think expanding the SEC's footprint into Texas can only be a good thing for BAMA and the conference in general
  • A&M has some really cool traditions and seems to be a cultural fit
  • Paul William "Bear" Bryant and Gene Stallings both coached at Texas A&M before winning national titles with the Alabama Crimson Tide
That's pretty much it.  I could add that Kyle Field in College Station seems like one hell of a place to watch a football game too.

Welcome to the SEC boys, I hope you teach Bobby Petrino and his Hogs a lesson this Saturday in Jerry World.
