Lords of Pain posted some excerpts from a recent RVD interview and one of the quotes really caught my eye:
The most common comment I hear every day from fans that spot me for the first time at a restaurant, mall or beach. The one comment I get is, ‘RVD, you’re my favorite wrestler. What happened? Are you not wrestling anymore? Why did you retire?’

Wow, if that doesn't tell you that TNA/Impact Wrestling isn't in the same stratosphere as WWE, I don't know what will.  It really is a shame because I would love to see a company come along that could be a legitimate number two to WWE.  I simply do not think TNA has it in them to make the right choices to help them become more competitive.  They have been so poorly managed for so long, I'm not even sure it matters what they do at this point.
